Stretching Exercises for the Aspiring Chemists
This is like my only so-called free day of the week, so I better update this blog in case there are bored people out there struggling trying to find things to do. Actually I'm quite tired and sleepy, with meetings ending so late that I reach home after 12 midnight...
Nevertheless, let's proceed with what I'm going to teach you to do today. It shall be a short and sweet entry.
I'm sure all you aspiring chemists out there know what I'm taking about when I say cis and trans. So this should be easy to follow. Do the following steps whenever you are feeling tired and need a good stretch - be it at home or in the lecture theatres.
1. Cis. Stretch out both of your arms in front of you.
2. Do an inversion. Stretch out both of your arms to your back.
3. Now do a trans. Put one hand in front and one hand behind.
4. Do an inversion. Exchange.
5. Repeat several times for a good stretch.
Just make sure that when you do this in the LTs, be careful and check that you do not hit anyone, unless you mean to hit the person next to/in front/behind you.
Enjoy!
