Stretching Exercises for the Aspiring Chemists
This is like my only so-called free day of the week, so I better update this blog in case there are bored people out there struggling trying to find things to do. Actually I'm quite tired and sleepy, with meetings ending so late that I reach home after 12 midnight...
Nevertheless, let's proceed with what I'm going to teach you to do today. It shall be a short and sweet entry.
I'm sure all you aspiring chemists out there know what I'm taking about when I say cis and trans. So this should be easy to follow. Do the following steps whenever you are feeling tired and need a good stretch - be it at home or in the lecture theatres.
1. Cis. Stretch out both of your arms in front of you.
2. Do an inversion. Stretch out both of your arms to your back.
3. Now do a trans. Put one hand in front and one hand behind.
4. Do an inversion. Exchange.
5. Repeat several times for a good stretch.
Just make sure that when you do this in the LTs, be careful and check that you do not hit anyone, unless you mean to hit the person next to/in front/behind you.
Enjoy!

Create your own avatar!
As usual, I'm here to help you pass your boring days.
Here's introducing this interesting site:
http://www.faceyourmanga.com/faceyourmanga.php?lang=engClick on it and start making your own avatar! And if you're really bored, (sick of doing all those tutorials like me and not knowing how a,a'-azobisisobutyronitrile looks like and stuff), you might want to make avatars of yourself and all your friends! (Like I did.)
Alternatively, you can also create avatars looking like characters from your favourite anime/manga or even the prettiest/most handsome person possible. You are only limited by your own imagination! (and as can be seen my imagination is rather wild - behold the avatars looking like exact replicas of yourselves!)
Again, feel free to challenge the avatars I have created for all of you and show your displeasure by posting your own versions.
Smile and start scrolling down for the wondrous surprise already.
For the first try, I tried to create my own look... The glasses make me look kind of serious, so I decided to go all the way and make it look formal.

Guess who the rest of the pictures belong to...

Disclaimer: I was limited by the choices available, so pardon me! But I suppose we can all agree that one of them really look like the real McCoy? No points for guessing who!
PS: Is it me or does the one in pink shirt look like this newscaster from CNA?

Letter to The Three Mudskippers
Dear Mudskippers,
Thank you for what you have done, not just for the presents, not just for planning the surprises, but also for being a wacky and fun bunch of people to be with. Thank you for the help you have all given me - I must be such a bother at times, forgetful and all (insert your displeasures here) - and without you all, things would be different.
For laughter, for support, for all the crazy times, cheers to the three mudskippers!

HMM1 Lesson 1
Since I've got the lesson tomorrow and the blog hasn't been updated in a while, let's learn some vowels and at the same time I'll get to revise for tomorrow's class. (I hope Sabine will enlighten us soon on some korean she has picked up today. Say, how do you like the name I've come up with for you? haha.)
You can do this whenever you're bored. Feel free to practise aloud. Just not too loud especially if you're reading this from the school library's computer. I don't think you'll want anyone staring at you wondering whether you're feeling all right.
a -- (ah) as in "up"
e -- (A) as in "A,B,C,D" that A or can also be (a) as in "alive" -- depends on context
i -- (eee) as in "in"
o -- (or) as in "of"
u -- (oooooo) as in "boot"
Disclaimer: My pronunciation may not be accurate so you may ignore the sounds I've created in the brackets and use those in the inverted commas instead to help you along.

which grp u belong to???
The episode about Toto and 4D is so enlightening... Believe it or not, different gambling ways can tell what kind of person you are. I shall now classify the different types pf people to their gambling habits:
1)
Toto -- Long time then buy once... Can say they are not so addicted to gambling or can say that they are high achievers as they only aim for BIG prize.
2)
4D -- regular gambler who enjoys shading OAS ( their favourite section in an exam paper is MCQ). a consistent gambler who believe 1 day the God of Fortune will come to them.
3)
scratch it! -- this is for those who are not greedy as they believe small win is better than not winning anything
4)
horse betting -- they love to see the horses running.
5)
mahjong -- people who love to swim but are scare of water and enjoys playing in teams
*Feel free to add on to the list as there are more...
to be continued
+this list is not meant to be exhaustive. So just enjoy!+

All about Punter-ING & Inspirations from Singalong
I notice that there are punters amongst us.
To seize this chance of educating these punters for their BRIGHT future ahead, let me give u ppl here a crash tutorial on TOTO, 4D and wadeva.
this tutorial incorporates singing with the must-knows of punter-ING, so do sing along~
DISCLAIMER: parts in brackets and in RED contains modified lyrics inspired by national day festivities. however the author claims no royalties nor responsibilities from the misuse of these Intellectual Property. strictly NO offense intended. Just for laughs~ First and foremost. Seek to WIN. (Deep in my heart I just know
Right from the start, we will WIN
Look where we are, we've bought so much
And there's still a long, long way to go)Secondly. Remember these days- Mondays, Wednesdays, Saturdays, Sundays.
(Remember the days, we set out together with faith? Remember the times, so hot, when we thought that long queues couldnt stand in our way?)Thirdly. Ensure that u use 1st grade 2B pencils. Be armed with erasers in case u make a boo-boo.(Count on that ERASER~ Count on that ERASER~ Count on that eraser to give u luck and all, Together ERASER, we will HUAT~)All is not lost when u make a blunder on the betting slip & u forgot the sacred piece of rubber. All u haf to do is CRUSH the slip...look around...and ...(REACH OUT FOR A BETTING SLIP~)Fourthly. Be legal. Go to the S _____Pool to place yr bets.
Nonono. I dun mean the WET one here. Use yr brain use yr brain~ I have to omit the name of the company in case they sue me. Or to prevent myself from being accused of free publicity(Where I buy bets~ where I waste my money and sweat
Where dreams dont-come true for us, Where we walk together hand in hand towards a future so bleak)Lastly. When u dun win any prizes. Do try again (if u still want to and can afford to do so). Thank you for your support.(This is lost truly, where I know it will be
Where my dreams wait for me, where that money always flows
This is won surely, as my senses fool me
This is where I won't be alone, for this is where I know it's gone)

bluetooth tutorial part 2
Ahaha. Finally. I have arrived to stake my claim in this co-blog. Whahahaha (evil laughter~)
anyways, the dragon tooth vs blue tooth story is like so *nong *nong ago. kudos to our 8-legged friend SPIDEY for educating us on the very *IMPORTANT* subject matter with such well drafted tutorial.
Prof Li wishes to clarify here that the probablity is not 0.0000000000000001%, 0.00000000000000001%. Pls note the extra decimal point.
That will be all for now.

the bluetooth ep.....
Wow.... I finally found my way to enter this blog and post my 1st entry..
Alright i shall now tell u all the story of the dragon tooth vs blue tooth story. Do you all know the difference between bluetooth and dragon tooth? some may say that bluetooth refers to the technology while dragon tooth is simply dragon's tooth. ohh and others may say there is no difference as they all end with tooth and so on.. BUT all these explanations are WRONG.
According to Prof Li Hxx Jxx (who major in organisation analysis), dragon tooth and bluetooth are both an organisation. Dragon tooth is a gangster organisation led by YYY in the recent local drama serial. She says that as for bluetooth there is very few people knew its presence. Its is a highly secretive organisation around the east area. It is even rumoured that the head of this organisation is led by a man called hanjee.. But all of these are just prediction by Prof Li. The reliability of this source is abt 0.0000000000000001%.
check out this link if u r free..

Sick is indeed appropriate
During this period of time, aren't we all sick of looking at our blue, white and red screens? Aren't we all sick of going to school when we aren't even sure what our timetable would end up being like? Scrambling up every morning to switch on the computer, to stare at the multitude of zeros - this isn't such a great situation to be in. I'm not even sure "bored" can be used to describe it.
But one thing's for sure, STARS sure has a way of taking up time - it's not like we've got nothing better to do but still, we end up (or rather I since I'm still not pleased with my timetable yet) visiting STARS everyday. I seem to spend my days solely with STARS, not looking at anything else, not doing anything else. It is rather sad as there are so many other things I know I'll prefer doing. I'm not just wasting time here, I'm also wasting electricity among many others.
Well, I don't think I'm going to suggest going to STARS if you're bored or have nothing to do, since we'll all be basically particularly sensitive to the idea right now, so today's tip of the day for bored people - Go Outside. Breath in some fresh air. Take a break. Take your mind off horrifying things like STARS. Stroll by the flowers. Smell the flowers. Know that while such things as STARS exist in life, there are other beautiful things out there that might hopefully make life more meaningful and less hopeless.

Hanjee and her Lame Jokes Part 1
When you're bored, you find something to do. Like compiling a list. A list of something that perhaps goes like this....
Hanjee and a list of her Lame Jokes. Part One.
(Being prompted I shall have one more entry before I retreat for the day.)
- Tactic Path-TACTIC (pathetic)
erm... what else? That's the only most recent hilarious one I can remember. More coming up when we remember it. =)

The biggest resume mistake
http://hotjobs.yahoo.com/career-articles-the_biggest_resume_mistake_you_can_make-436Today's reading. Nothing much seeing as it is 12am and we have school tomorrow. Randomly picked this topic. Perhaps you might want to complain that it's boring but you have to agree that to some people, it's something useful! Afterall, most of us would need to write a resume and need to know what mistakes to avoid making.
(Still pondering whether or not to attend the 8.30am tutorial which isn't compulsory. I suppose most people won't attend it but I'll still be in school around that time anyway. Perhaps I'll sit in the canteen near the LT's entrance and count the number of students going in. That'll be something to do if I'm bored but sleeping is a good alternative.)
